The Installation Process
For commercial and high-traffic projects such as Battersea, Dover and Felixstowe Border Force compounds, and RAF Marham, we follow a proven groundworks system designed to maximise performance and longevity.
The process began with a solid free-draining base:
- A layer of 20mm clean limestone was laid first
- This was topped with a compacted 6mm clean limestone layer to create a smooth, stable surface
Once the base was complete, K9 Turf® Premier was laid directly onto the prepared groundworks, joined with specialist tape and adhesive, and securely pinned. Edges were carefully finished with bevelling and bolster nipping so the turf transitions cleanly against the surrounding concrete slabs.
